Postage is not included in the price of the book but is added at cost, only when the order has been weighed.
Postage overseas: Postage: unless you request otherwise, we will consolidate your order by economy airmail. Delivery to Europe is normally between 4 - 10 working days, and to countries outside Europe between 10 - 21 working days. In many cases this can reduce postal charges by up to about forty five percent and we have found that most customers prefer this method. However, if a book is required urgently we will be happy to use a priority service. Please contact us if you need more information on postage. Our insurance automatically covers all overseas parcels. If you suspect that a book is overdue, please contact us.
Postage UK: We will send books by the most economical means - either by Royal Mail second-class where the weight allows this and you do not instruct to send first-class, or by ParcelForce.
Methods of Payment
Cheques in UK pounds sterling drawn on a UK bank.
Credit Card for example,Visa and Mastercard (and other related cards). We will need your card number and expiry date. Sometimes additional information is required so it is essential you also give us your telephone number.
European and Overseas customers - We also accept US dollar cheques drawn on a US bank but will need to add the equivalent of £10 to cover bank collection charges. The cost of other methods of remittance from overseas can be excessive so, if none of the above methods of payment is convenient, please call us to discuss.

Neat ownership inscriptions or dedications are not always detailed. We try to give a fair and reasonable impression of the condition of each book. If you are unhappy about the condition, please let us know at once and return the book within 10 days of receipt.
Abbreviations used: pp: number of pages; dw: dustwrapper; original cloth: publisher's original cloth-covered boards as issued; publisher's boards: paper-covered boards in simulated cloth or illustrated; BCA: normally a reissue of the original book published by arrangement with the original publisher by Book Club Associates; new: direct from publisher/warehouse at a reduced price (sometimes slightly dusty on top edge); mint: previously owned but as new; fine: in exceptional condition; vg: very good (showing signs of use but above average condition); good: good general secondhand condition; fair: showing defects but reasonable, ex-lib: former library book where the only indication of such ownership is a library stamp, and/or bookplate and perhaps a reference number, on the front endpapers (anything more intrusive will be detailed).
